EVALUATING THE PEOPLE’S SATISFACTION OF THE NEW RURAL INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM IN YEN THANH, NGHE AN

Abstract

The research was conduced to evaluate the people’s satisfaction of the new rural infrastructure system in Yen Thanh, Nghe An. The research methodologies involved: select study sites; collect and process data; evaluate the people’s satisfaction. The reseach results showed that, people have known and taken parts in constructing the new rural program positively by different activities. For the infrastructure as follow the new rural indicator group 2, a high rate of people satisfied with electricity, schools, cultural buildings, information & communication. For the other infrastructure, people satisfied with clinics, hygienic water and gabage collection. For the residential housing, a large number of people have had housing “3-hard”, “3-clean” and other equipments, the satisfaction rate was relatively high. People also realized inadequacies in some works as transportation, irrigation, markets, post offices, fresh water and landcape, environment. The main solutions need to be implemented include: improve the capacities of guidance and operating, strengthen and diversify sources of mobilized capital, identify the priority investment works, and raise the awareness for people.
