EVALUATE THE ULTRASOUND IMAGES AND FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION UNDER THE GUIDE OF ULTRASOUND IN DIAGNOSTIC THYROID NODULE AT THAI NGUYEN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Abstract
The study was carried out on 61 patients who were diagnosed with thyroid tumor undergoing ultrasound aspiration under ultrasound guidance. The study aimed to evaluate the ultrasound images and fine needle aspiration of thyroid tumors under ultrasound guidance. The method is prospective observation. The results showed that thyroid nodule is most common in the age group of 45-60 years, women are more common than men. 73.8% had tumors ≤10mm with the rate of cell aspiration under ultrasound guidance met high requirements: 85.3%. The rate of malignant lesions is high: 46.2% and is closely related to microcalcifications and unclear boder on ultrasound with p <0.05. Fine needle aspiration the small size thyroid tumor under the guide of ultrasonar has high accuracy diagnostic. There is a correlation between microcalcifications, unclearly boder in ultrasound images and thyroid cancer. Fine needle aspiration under ultrasound guidance, especially when there is microcalcifications, unclear boders.
