Abstract

In this work, we study and propose a spatial partitioning technique for smoke simulation in virtual reality. We install several smoke simulation algorithms and evaluate the results obtained from smoke simulation with Particle technique and the Particle combined with spatial partitioning in virtual reality. The results show that the use of spatial partitioning results in high image quality and close to reality. In addition to this, the use of this technique ensures an accurate simulation regarding the density and collision. Based on the results, we design virtual reality applications that show how to escape from fire and teach traffic law for children.
