THE RESULTS OF THE BONE CONBINATION SURGERY USING THE DYNAMIC HIP SCREW BLADE IN THE TREATMENT OF INTER-TROCHANTERIC CREST FRACTURES IN THAI NGUYEN NATIONAL HOSPITAL AND SOME RELATED FACTORS

Abstract

The study evaluated the results of bone combination surgery using dynamic hip screw blade in treating 66 patients with inter-trochanteric crest fractures at Thai Nguyen National Hospital and described some related factors of treatment results.. The research applied the descriptive research methods, and the cross-sectional design. The results showed that 19 patients (28.8%) got very good treatment ; 18 patients (69.7%) had  good resultsand 27 (40.9%) patients’ treatment were average and bad results belonged to 2 patients (3%). There was an association between combined injuries and age (<60 and ≥ 60)  to outcomes (p <0.01). Using a locking brace for the inter-trochanteric crest fracture in Thai Nguyen National Hospital had great results.
