Abstract

In the process of industrialization and modernization, the investment climate affects investment decisions and production activities of enterprises. When studying the investment climate of localities, there are many different approaches. By evaluating the extent of domestic and international articles related to the investment climate of a country and a locality, this work gives an overview of the factors of the investment climate, and its impact on the investment decisions of businesses. These are the factors: Legal politics, infrastructure, workforce, social culture, market size... In general, when the political-legal environment is stable, the infrastructure is developed, the input costs are low, the market grows well and the socio-cultural conditions are suitable, investors will investment in the place. Accordingly, the knowledge gaps in the previous studies are highlighted, thus, the basis for the future research are evaluated.
