Abstract

The private economy is an economic component based on the private ownership regime of the means of production, the private economic development makes an important contribution to promoting socio-economic development. After more than 40 reforms opened up, the Chinese private economy played an important role in making China the second largest economy in the world. The article focuses on clarifying the development process, the role of the private sector in the Chinese economy (1978 – 2018) and reference experiences for Vietnam. By using historical, logical, comparative, statistical, and analytical methods, the research results aim to clarify the contribution and role of the private economy to the development of the Chinese economy and references to the private economic development in Vietnam.
