SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURE COOPERATIVE IN THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

This study was conducted to study the current situation of agricultural cooperatives in Thai Nguyen province, thereby proposing solutions to develop agricultural cooperatives in the coming time. The research conducted interviews with 90 agricultural cooperatives in Thai Nguyen province and used STATA software for analysis. The research show that the number of newly established cooperatives and members has increased over the years. The charter capital of the cooperatives is still very limited, however, the people have believed in the operation mechanism and efficiency that the cooperatives bring, so the members have contributed more over the years. The members of agricultural cooperatives dedicate 100% of their agricultural land to the service of agricultural cooperatives. Cooperatives with additional services operate more efficiently than cooperatives without services. The financial performance of agricultural cooperatives in the province has improved over the years. From the above situations, the research proposes 5 main solutions to promote operational efficiency and promote agricultural cooperatives to develop more.
