NATURAL GEOGRAPHICAL ZONING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOTOURISM IN DA NANG CITY

Abstract

Natural geographical zoning is an important scientific basis and application in the inventory, synthesis and assessment of natural resources for tourism development and ecotourism development in particular. By applying the principles, methods and criteria system of zoning, for the purpose of ecotourism development, the article has conducted the natural geographical zoning of Da Nang city, thereby analyzing the characteristics of natural differentiation in each sub-region. The map of natural geographical zoning of Da Nang city was established at the scale of 1:100,000, which showing that Da Nang city has 02 regions and 04 sub-regions, including: Northern and Northwest mountainous sub-region and Southwest mountainous sub-region where in the mountainous region; coastal plain sub-region and Son Tra peninsula sub-region where in the coastal plain and peninsula region. The basic characteristics of natural conditions and natural resources for eco-tourism is the base to evaluate the level of convenience and propose suitable ecological types in each sub-region.
