A GIS-BASED FLOOD FORECASTING MAP IN HA GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

GIS is a highlight that widely developed and applied in many fields, especially the field of alerts. Natural disasters like floods cannot be prevented, but flood damage can be minimized by using GIS map-based flood warning systems. In this paper, the authors have used GIS map showing the location of the sensor set point flood data based on information of the measurement device. The software is implemented using C# programming language to help monitor data at flood warning points. From there, experts can follow up, make conclusions and warnings about floods to corresponding areas. The establishment of flood early warning systems help to prevent flash floods and reducing damage to people.
