The use of drugs and chemicals for tilapia has emerged as a major concern in aquaculture areas. The present study sought to define the effect of Iodine, galic powder and Vitamin C in preventing and treating diseases of Tilapia associated S. agalactiae. Data concerning Iodine, galic powder, Vitamin C were collected from 30 drug stores in previous research. S. agalactiae was cultured in nutrient broth media in incubator shaker at 30oC for 18 h, when the bacteria density reached 107 cfu / mL, it was used to infect fish. The results showed that: Garlic powder (0.1 g/kg fish) and Vitamin C (5 g/kg fish) or Garlic powder (0.1 g/kg fish) and Iodine (0.05 mL/100 Lit) were effective in treating the Streptococcosis disease with feeding time of 3 and 5 days, the survival rate of tilapia infected with S. agalactiae being 66.7 – 75.6% and 64.4 – 71.1% respectively compared with the positive control (19.9%). Meanwhile, Vitamin C (5g/kg fish) and Iodine (0.05mL/100 Lit) used feeding time of 3 and 5 days were ineffective in preventing Streptococcosis in tilapia.
