EXPRESSION ANALYSIS OF THE GmDREB6 GENE FROM SOYBEAN ON TRANSGENIC TOBACCO PLANTS UNDER THE SALINE-STRESS CONDITION

Abstract
This study presents the analytic results of the GmDREB6 gene expression level from soybean on transgenic tobacco plants under saline-stress conditions. The structure carrying the GmDREB6 transgene was transformed into leaf tissue of tobacco variety K326 through A. tumefaciens and produced 60 transgenic tobacco plants grown in net houses. Two GmDREB6 transgenic tobacco lines T01 and T09 were selected from the results of PCR, RT-PCR, qRT-PCR analysis. Under saline-stress conditions, the transcription level of the GmDREB6 gene in two transgenic tobacco lines T01 and T09 increased from 2.40-3.22 (times) compared to the condition without saline treatment by NaCl (P<0.05) ). The GmDREB6 gene may be a potential candidate in the research and development of salt-tolerant crops to cope with climate change and salinity caused by sea-level rise.
