Abstract

Environmental pollution and the increasing complexity in migration have put a lot of pressure on the planning of domestic water supply systems in the big cities. With the desire of building a highly reliable scientific base in future water supply network decision-making, this paper proposes a two-step approach with a minimum number of future domestic water supply facilities and planning the location of future water plants with maintaining present accessibility. A combination of the Shortest Path, k-median and the population forecasting model will be implemented with data that is collected from the Can Tho city and neighboring districts. The results have showed a water distribution network configuration supports to against the population explosion in the future.
