Abstract

This study was performed to describe the treatment of children's Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) at Ha Hoa Health Center of Phu Tho province. A total of 390 children aged 2-60 months were diagnosed with pneumonia from May, 1st 2021 to May, 30th 2022. Research methods were cross-sectional studies and convenience sampling. The results show that the mean age of the children was 21.99 ± 16.67 months. The male-female ratio was 1.6:1; 77.2% of children with pneumonia used antibiotics alone in treatment, there were 96.7% of children using intravenous antibiotics, the older children used alone antibiotic for treatment CAP higher than younger children. The average day of treatment in the age group 2-<12 months was 7.12±2.22 days, and age group 12-60 months was 7.12±2.21 days; the outcomes were 94.1% cured, and 4.9% were referred to higher hospitals. Pneumonia was generally more common in children younger than 5 years old but young children were at higher risk of getting pneumonia. Used an antibiotics alone was the most commonly. The majority of patients with good treatment outcomes.
