Abstract

Cultural and literary research has recently been placed in ecological environments, reflecting the awareness of researchers who see nature as an entity that needs to be listened to and respected. The purpose of the article is to introduce some geographical tales in the collection of Bac Kan's folk tales from a cultural and ecological perspective. Several methods were used, including analysis, comparison, cultural anthropological research methods, genre research methods, human environmental research methods, and fieldwork. The research results demonstrate that the folk tales of Bac Kan vividly reflect the unique environment of the mountainous region and the rich cultural life of the ethnic groups inhabiting this area. At the same time, the article is a contribution to affirming the trend of research to put culture and literature in the context of the current up-to-date ecological environment.
