Abstract
The study aims to analyze the relationship between the simultaneous expression of ALDH and KRAS with histopathological characteristics in gastric cancer. A cross-sectional study was used on 103 patients with confirmed diagnosis of gastric cancer and surgical resection at K Hospital. The relationship between the simultaneous expression of ALDH, KRAS and other histopathological features was analyzed. Research results showed that the rate of gastric cancer in men and women was most common in the age group 60-69, accounting for 34.4% and 35.7%, respectively. Simultaneous expression of ALDH and KRAS has a rate of 71.4% with p < 0.05. Patients with poorly differentiated gastric cancer had the highest rate of simultaneous expression of both markers with 62.0%. There is a difference in the simultaneous expression of both markers according to the degree of differentiation, p < 0.05. Concurrent expression of ALDH KRAS is associated with low differentiation according to histopathology.
