Abstract

Organizing physics education with a focus on developing students' competencies is one of the key objectives in the Vietnamese secondary education system and international schools in Vietnam. Within this context, research on the design and utilization of experimental exercises in physics education to enhance students' competencies is a new and significant area of investigation. Drawing on theoretical research and practical surveys, this paper outlines the process and content of constructing experimental exercises for teaching 'Elastic Deformation of Solids' in Physics 11 within the Cambridge program. The aim is to develop students' experimental skills. The designed experimental exercises not only contribute to students' understanding of the laws of physics but also provide opportunities for them to develop important skills such as independent thinking, planning, conducting experiments, observing, analyzing, processing data, and drawing conclusions.
