Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Outcome-Based Education approach in enhancing global skills among Vietnamese students through extracurricular programs. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach that includes surveys, in-depth interviews, and observer evaluations, the research collected data from 120 students at Can Tho University. Activities were designed based on the 4Cs model: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. Results indicate that after participating in the program, students demonstrated significant improvements in global skills, particularly in intercultural communication and critical thinking. The study concludes that integrating interactive activities based on Outcome-Based Education approach into extracurricular programs is an effective method to prepare the workforce for the global market while encouraging the expansion of skill development opportunities for students through extracurricular activities.
