APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES AT MILITARY OFFICER SCHOOLS TO MEET THE LEARNING OUTCOMES

Abstract

Applying information technology in teaching in general and teaching social sciences and humanities at military officer schools in particular is a trend of modernizing the teaching and learning process, changing the way of teaching and learning style, helping students participate in learning proactively, actively and creatively, enhancing visualization, contributing to improving the quality of acquiring and grasping knowledge, developing independent thinking capacity, student creativity. This article focuses on clarifying the role of information technology in teaching social sciences and humanities at military academies. The main research methods employed include literature review, analysis and synthesis, social survey method, logical method, and expert opinions. The research results indicate that although the initial application of information technology in teaching has yielded positive results, there are some limitations. These include insufficient awareness among some officers, lecturers, and students regarding the position and role of information technology in teaching social sciences and humanities. Additionally, the application of information technology in lesson preparation and teaching practices is not always scientific and effective, and the technology infrastructure investment of some institutions is not uniform. In response to these findings, we propose five solutions to effectively apply information technology in teaching social sciences and humanities at military academies. These solutions aim to meet the output standards, contribute to enhancing the quality of education and training, and address the requirements of the new situation.
