EVALUATION OF SITE CLEARANCE COMPENSATION "NICKEL-COPPER MINERAL OPEN-PIT MINING PROJECT" IN CAO BANG CITY, CAO BANG PROVINCE

Abstract

The article studies the site clearance compensation "Nickel-Copper mineral open-pit mining project" in Cao Bang city, Cao Bang province. The study uses secondary and primary information collection, survey methods to collect the results of site clearance compensation at the project. The research results show that the project has cleared 407,456.40 m2 of land with 85 households being compensated. The total cost of project compensation was VND 4,279,552,029, of which, the compensation budget for land was VND 1,596,494,470, the cost of compensation for assets and architectural objects on land was VND 398,359,718 and the compensation budget for trees and crops was VND 2,293,697,841. The number of people saying that the compensation unit price is low is 57.14% - 68.57%, that the procedures are cumbersome is 35.71%, and not understanding about site clearance compensation is 65.71%. Since then, the author has proposed a number of solutions such as propagandizing to raise people's awareness and understanding, building compensation unit prices consistent with actual prices, and simplifying administrative procedures to contribute to improving the effectiveness of compensation and site clearance in Cao Bang city, Cao Bang province.
