Tóm tắt

Symplocos cochinchinensis (Lour.) S. Moore is a medicinal herb belonging to the Symplocaceae family, widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, including China, Taiwan, India, Japan, and Malaysia. S. cochinchinensis is extensively used in many traditional folk remedies to treat conditions such as tumors, jaundice, diarrhea, dysentery, menstrual disorders, infections, diabetes, and uterine issues... In Vietnam, this species is used to treat burns, liver deficiency, stop bleeding, and sexually transmitted diseases. Recent studies have shown that this species possesses various activities such as anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, hypoglycemic, and hepatoprotective effects. In this study, two lignans including matairesinol 4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and nortrachelogenin 4-O-β-D-gluopyranoside (2) were isolated from the methanol extract of S. cochinchinensis leaves using modern chromatographic techniques such as thin-layer chromatography, column chromatography, and high-performance liquid chromatography. The structures of the compounds were elucidated through analysis of high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), 1D-NMR spectra, 2D-NMR spectra, and comparison with spectral data from reference literature. Compounds 1 and 2 were isolated for the first time from the species S. cochinchinensis and from the genus Symplocos worldwide.
