Abstract

Socio-economic formation (SE) is an important theoretical category of historical materialism, providing a solid theoretical basis for social studies. The article focuses on clarifying the central role of the concept of socio-economic formation in the historical materialist theory of Marxism. Through analyzing the application of this concept in modern social theory schools, the study points out the limitations in the non-dialectical approach and simplification of the theoretical content of this concept. Thereby affirming the importance of maintaining the historical-dialectical nature of the concept of socio-economic formation, and at the same time proposing the correct application of this concept to improve the ability to explain and analyze current social issues.
