Abstract

Over thousands of years of formation and development, the Vietnamese nation has shaped a democratic tradition with unique characteristics closely linked to agricultural life, the organization of peasant society, and village culture. This article analyzes the influence and proposes some solutions to promote the positive aspects and prevent and overcome the negative aspects of this democratic tradition on the process of building and developing socialist democracy in Vietnam today.
