Three theoretical models of contemporary digital socialism: analysis and evaluation
Abstract
The increasingly pervasive penetration of digital technologies into production
processes and social life has fundamentally transformed the mode of production, while si
multaneously catalyzing the emergence of socialist theoretical discourses within this new
context. Theories such as “Digital Socialism,” “Cyber-Communism,” and “Communicative
Socialism,” characterized by their keen insights, have captured the revolutionary elements
of the digital transition within capitalist society and forecasted future societal development
trends. However, the practical impact of these theories on capitalist institutions has, to date,
remained relatively limited.
