Social justice and progress in the digital era: A comparative study of socialism and capitalism
Abstract
Based on the thought of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Vladimir Lenin
regarding the inherently unjust and alienating nature of labor–capital relations, this article
analyzes emerging forms of inequality in digital capitalism, particularly the accumulation
of super-profits by technology corporations, data exploitation, and the deepening of social
stratification. It also examines the perspective of the Communist Party of Vietnam on
integrating science and technology development and digital transformation with the
promotion of social equity and progress, aiming to ensure that all citizens can participate
in and benefit from development outcomes in the digital era.
