Ensuring personal security for migrant workers in Vietnam today
Abstract
Migration has long been a historical phenomenon and an integral component
of the economy. In the context of Vietnam’s ongoing industrialization, modernization, and
rapid urbanization, migrant labor has become an inevitable trend. However, migrant
workers-primarily moving from rural to urban areas-face numerous challenges related to
personal security. This article outlines the importance of personal security, examines its
current state among migrant workers in Vietnam, and proposes several solutions to
enhance personal security for this group.
