Abstract
This study evaluates the impact of concentrated ownership on corporate social responsibility (CSR) implementation in Vietnamese listed banks during the period 2010–2023. The results from multivariate regression models indicate a positive relationship between the level of concentrated ownership and CSR implementation in Vietnamese banks. Accordingly, banks may consider the degree of ownership concentration among major shareholders as a factor to promote social activities— one of the three key criteria of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)—toward the goal of sustainable development for both banks and the overal economy.
