Critical success factors of construction projects

Abstract

Project success factors have always been widely discussed among scholars and experts, with many different opinions on what factors can lead to project success. However, each project often has its non-repeatable characteristics, so it is difficult to identify critical success factors. This paper aims to systematize the critical success factors that influence the success of construction projects over time. Although there are certain changes in views about project success, several factors such as communication, leadership, trust, feasible goals, risk management, planning, team coordination, competent project team, education and training, and conflict management are the top ten critical factors affecting the success of construction projects.
