Abstract

This study examines the experience of countries such as Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand in enhancing the transparency of financial reporting information at commercial banks and draws lessons for Vietnam in the coming time. By using qualitative research methods, such as synthesis, regression, and interpretation, the study pointed out important lessons learned, including: Compliance with international financial reporting standards; strengthening regulatory oversight; addressing complex financial transactions as well as promoting corporate governance and ethics. By applying these lessons, Vietnam can promote a healthy and resilient banking industry, attract investment, and support sustainable economic growth.
