Abstract
This study aims to examine the impact of demographic factors on personal financial management behavior, specifically consumption and saving behavior. Data were collected from 317 people living in An Giang province during the period from December 2024 to February 2025, through direct surveys. Statistical analysis shows that there are significant differences in financial management behavior by gender and
income level. Specifically, men and women tend to approach financial management differently, while people with high incomes often have clearer financial plans than low-income groups. In contrast, factors such as age, education level and marital status do not show significant differences in financial behavior. Based on the results, the study proposes some managerial implications to support individuals in improving
their financial control, aiming at rational consumption, minimizing the risk of bankruptcy and increasing the savings rate. This is an important basis for financial education policies in the community.
