In the context of globalization and rapid digital transformation, digital competence has become a core component for university students. For those in economics-related disciplines, this competence extends beyond the ability to use information technology tools to include skills in accessing, processing, analyzing, and creating knowledge in digital environments. At the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), where training is closely aligned with technological development and educational innovation, research on the digital competence of economics students holds significant practical value. Findings indicate that students’ digital competence varies and is influenced by training conditions, learning environments, and individual initiative. Therefore, assessing and analyzing digital competence not only clarifies its current status and influencing factors but also provides a foundation for proposing solutions to improve training quality and meet the demand for economic human resources in the digital era.
