A study on releasing and treating status of steel dust at Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Join Stock Corpration and proposing suiable recycling model

Abstract

This study research releasing, collecting and treating of steel dust at Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Join Stock Corpration (Tisco), a representative steel enterprise in Vietnam. The result shows that steel refining and dust collecting system are synchronous invested and highly effective operated. However, the company has not dust treating and recycling systems, has to sign a contract related to dust transportation and treatment with Phuc Hung Production and Commercial Join Stock Company. The low treating capacity of Phuc Hung Company releases huge cumulated steel dust which negatively affects on environment and production. In order to solve this, we propose two dust recycling and recovery models saving the cost and enhance ecomomic and environmental benefits. Depending on investing capacity and developing strategy, Tisco can select a suiable model to achieve long-term and stable goal on economy and environment.
