Abstract

In Cat Hai island district (Hai Phong City), people's lives are closely linked to marine ecosystems, however, knowledge about responding to natural disasters and climate change is still limited. , lacks science, so educating the fishing community on coping skills is essential. The research was conducted to contribute to raising awareness of the fishing community about the causes, effects, impacts of climate change, as well as methods to adapt and encouraging fishermen to actively participate in activities to mitigate climate change. Research topics using methods used in research include: Theoretical research; sociological Investigation; Expert methods and data processing. The study has proposed measures to educate skills to respond to climate change for the fishing community in Cat Hai district, City. Hai Phong such as: Fostering awareness of climate change; Organize education on skills to respond to climate change; promulgate guiding documents and improve the qualifications of educational staff; coordinate with the community in building educational programs, diversifying educational forms and testing and evaluating continuing education results.
