Some barriers in reusing of normal industrial solid waste in industrial parks in Vietnam

Abstract

    In Vietnam, promoting circular economy and reusing waste in production and business establishments has been stipulated in the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 and guiding documents. In addition, "industrial symbiosis" has been stipulated by the Government in Decree No. 35/2022/ND-CP dated May 28, 2022 regulating
the management of industrial parks and economic zones, including waste reuse activities. Within the scope of the study, the authors have assessed the implementation of industrial solid waste reuse in industrial parks, identified barriers and obstacles, and proposed solutions for the management/reuse of normal industrial solid waste in industrial parks, towards converting to an eco-industrial industrial park model in Vietnam.
