Nghiên cứu hiệu quả công tác thu phí vận chuyển chất thải rắn sinh hoạt trên địa bàn quận Gò Vấp, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh

Abstract

Domestic solid waste is a pressing environmental issue in major urban areas such as Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). This study evaluates the implementation of domestic solid waste transportation cost in Go Vap District, HCMC during the 2022–2024 period. The research methods include sociological surveys, statistical analysis, and SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) to assess household awareness and behavior. According to the study's findings, 97% of individuals are aware of this information, however 25% disagree that this kind of tax should be collected. The main reason is the lack of consistency in fee collection methods among different wards, and a portion of the population does not fully understand the purpose, significance, or the distinction between collection and transportation fees. On the basis, the study proposed solutions include enhancing public awareness through communication campaigns and promoting digital technologies by implementing electronic payment systems.
