Abstract

Ansys software was used to simulate the temperature field on carbon steel plates, stress - strain formation on the entire plate surface. The size of sample was 1000x1000x10mm, the heat source was oxy-acetylene with a heating temperature of about 6000C, and moving at a speed of 5mm/s on the plate surface. The simulation results show the positions of tensile and compressive stress on the surface, thereby predicting the deformation trend of the material. In addition, the microstructural evolution and hardness of the material before and after heating were studied. Although there was a change in grain size between different areas, the properties and hardness of the material change slighty compared to the original plate.
