Abstract
Nowadays, high-voltage (HV) electrical systems are increasingly widely used in the maritime field. Ships are now equipped with high-voltage devices to increase capacity and efficiency. However, in harsh working environments, high-voltage electrical safety must meet strict requirements according to regulations. This article presents a method for testing the discharge phenomenon in a working environment similar to that on ships with TERCO equipment. The results show that working environments with different levels of impurities will give different discharge voltage values.
