COMMENT ON THE MARITIME ARBITRATORS ORGANISATIONS IN INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT AND VIETNAM

Abstract

Maritime arbitrators have become a popularalternative dispute resolution method in maritime domain, however, this term has not been well-known in Vietnam. This article aims to clarify the main elements of maritime arbitrators, including source of laws, maritime disputes and maritime arbitrators professional. From this basic, different maritime arbitrators organisations are studied and compared with the organisation, proccedings and statistics of The London Maritime Arbitrations Association (LMAA). Besides, the modal chosen in Vietnam, is commented with the statistics and reports of Vietnam international arbitration center (VIAC).
