SOLUTIONS TO EFFECTIVELY PROMOTE THE ROLE OF SEAPORT SYSTEM TO THE IMPORT- EXPORT OF HAIPHONG CITY

Abstract

The seaport system of Haiphong city enhanced by a good hinterland connection by various means of transport is an importatnt topic which should be researched for solutions to effectively promote the role of the system to the import-export of the city in order to improve quality of services for local industries. The paper focuses on the theory of competitive advantages of seaport cities and suggests policy solutions to improve the local city’s import-export via the seaport system after analyzing the current practical situation.
