IMPROVING THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK ON PREVENTING MARINE POLLUTION FROM PLASTIC WASTE IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Marine plastic waste is a global problem, especially a problem in our country. Vietnam is one of the most sensitive coastal countries to climate change and impacts from the marine environment. But Vietnam currently does not have a completion legal system to protect the environment in general and marine environment in particular from the impact of plastic waste. In the framework of the article, the author analyzes the provisions of international law and Vietnam of plastic waste discharged into the sea, then has an overview, propose solutions to improve the legal framework of Vietnam on maritime plastic waste.
