Abstract

This paper predicts the mitigation of marine propeller cavitation by employing PressurePores technology and the effects on its performance by CFD method. The propeller model used in the research is Potsdam Propeller Test Case (PPTC). Based on the received results, this paper analyses the changes in pressure distribution, turbulent viscosity, and vorticity around propeller blades of original and modified models to clarify the causes of the decrease in cavitation and the difference in the propeller efficiency.
