Abstract

International labor migration is increasingly becoming an important choice for workers amid rapid globalization. Vietnam is an active participant in this process, with its international workforce growing both in number and quality. Migration offers Vietnamese workers opportunities for human development but also exposes them to potential risks. A review of the literature indicates that most studies focus on financial contributions and workplace risks, while opportunities for human development are less explored. The findings serve as a basis for further interdisciplinary research and inform the development of comprehensive policies to support Vietnamese international migrant workers.
