THE REALITY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE OF FEMALE VICTIMS IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASES

Abstract

The paper aims to study the victims who are women involved in human trafficking,
bearing psychological consequences that create difficulties in their learning, communication,
and social relationships. The study is based on the analysis of 53 female victims in 4 border
communes including Điện Biên, Sơn La, and Lào Cai provinces, highlighting psychological
trauma in human trafficking cases from research on victim’s psychological trauma status
from 8/2022-3/2023. As a result, the paper also proposes practical solutions to support
their community integration.
