Abstract

Informal women workers are considered as vulnerable groups with unstable occupations, low incomes and ofen do not participate in social insurance. In Da Lat city, informal women workers are mostly immigrants fom different provinces and cities across the country. Tey do seasonal jobs and have no permanent residence. Tey have to pay rent and housing costs and face certain difculties in accessing local programs, policies and social services. Te fndings of the study derived fom the project “Assessment of the current situation of informal women workers’ access to social services in Da Lat city” conducted during the period fom 2019 to 2021. Trough the study of 367 informal women workers in Da Lat city as well as conducting in-depth interviews with ofcials of the Women’s Union of provinces and cities. The article focuses on the current situation of informal women workers’ access to social work services. Te result of this study aims to propose effective support models and programs for these
disadvantaged groups. Te key fndings fom the study indicated that informal women workers did not have access to social work services due to lack of time and social supports. Supporting to women workers’ access to social services is considered one of the key tasks of the social security
system in order to achieve the goal of equity, equality and social security for all people.
