Abstract

The improvement of the material and spiritual life of the workforce is one of the
important tasks for the construction and development of the country and the promotion
of workers’ comprehensive development. The research shows that based on Maslow’s
hierarchy of needs, the material and spiritual life of workers in industrial zones and clusters
is currently at the second and third levels of the hierarchy of needs. Workers want to put the
guarantee of salary, careers and stable lives as first priorities. The research states that the
impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on workers in industrial zones and clusters in Binh Dinh
province, especially female workers leads to their family relationships being worse. Based on
the research results was carried out in 2021, the article analyzes the current situation and needs

of workers in industrial parks and clusters in Binh Dinh province. From there, some
recommendations are made to strongly renew the content and mode of operation of trade
unions in industrial zones and clusters with a strong focus on protecting the legitimate rights
and interests of workers.
