Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of components in organizational commitment in the relationship between dimensions of transformational leadership style and organizational citizenship behavior along with employee job performance. Data was collected from 400 employees in aviation organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. SmartPLS 3 and PROCESS macro are used to evaluate the measurement model and the indirect relationships in the research model. The results revealed that organizational commitment plays a mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership style and OCBO, while only the affective commitment dimension in organizational commitment fully mediates the association between transformational leadership and employee performance. Based on these results, organizations in the aviation industry may apply them to their human resource strategies to increase commitment, OCBO, and employees performance.
