A survey of 563 students ingrades 10, 11, and 12 at North Thang Long HighSchool (Hanoi), Soc Son High School (Hanoi), andTam Duong High School (Vinh Phuc) shows thatpositive discipline methods have a moderateimpact on students' social-emotional competencewith a positive pattern, in which self-awareness hasthe strongest influence. However, regressionanalysis indicates that this method does not affectall five components of social-emotionalcompetence, but only the regression model issuitable for self-awareness, relationshipmanagement, and responsible decision-makingcompetence.
