Abstract

For Engineering students, creative problem-solving (CPS) skills are essential not only for addressing complex job requirements but also for engaging in research and the development of new technologies. Assessing the current state of CPS skills is therefore critical for understanding students' abilities and identifying influencing factors, which can inform the design of effective training programs. This study employs a questionnaire survey to examine the CPS skills of engineering students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). The findings reveal issues related to students' perceptions and the methods and approaches by lecturers to develop CPS skills. Based on these findings, the study proposes measures to enhance CPS skills among engineering students.
