Abstract

Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is a domain-specific instructional theory that has profoundly influenced mathematics education worldwide, significantly contributing to the innovation of teaching methods in various countries. In the context of the recent comprehensive educational renovation in Vietnam, RME has garnered the attention of numerous mathematics educators for research and implementation. This paper studies the principles of RME, particularly the use of contexts and the use of models. Based on these principles, the article proposes three instructional measures for teaching geometry in high schools based on RME principles, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of mathematics instruction and develop students' mathematical abilities.
