Abstract
Education for sustainable development dramatically changes the perception of the world, the educational model, teaching methods, and assessment. Physics is a subject with many opportunities for sustainable education, helping learners to perceive and understand the relationship between people and the natural environment and the surrounding society, especially by encouraging competent learners to solve practical problems. From there, students are endowed with knowledge and skills, undertake specific actions for a sustainable society in terms of socioeconomic development and environment. The article presents the process of organizing experiences associated with education for sustainable development and the results obtained in promoting competence in solving practical problems for learners.
