Abstract

STEM education is becoming a global trend. Many educators, policymakers, as well as the public are inspired to explore the value of STEM education in each country's educational systems and socio-cultural contexts. Therefore, what is STEM education? Is there a consensus on the goals and implementation of STEM education across countries? The article points out the similarities as well as differences in the goals and implementation of STEM education in some countries in the world and Vietnam with the aim of suggesting further researches and effective implementation of practicing STEM education in Vietnam.
